Guy driving an Accord in Detroit avoids two near misses

Ah, I-696. where people always drive 20 mph faster than they should.

I’ll get unhappy with people that go extremely slow during the snow, but at least I understand their reasoning.
However, I will never understand that go faster or get extra aggressive in the snow.

696 east bound. I drive that every day.
Doesn’t even need to be snowing for crap to happen. This guy veered left on a right turn and did a pretty sweet rolling ollie on the median. Couldn’t believe he wasn’t hurt. Really shocked I was the only one to stop.

What kind of lane change was white car making? What the hell? Looks like he tried to cross two lanes at once.

I feel relatively confident the camera car was driving a bit too fast for the conditions as well.

I need to get a dash cam.
Some jackass felt the need to suicide pass me on a two lane road at night while I was doing 40 in a 45, with the roads completely covered with 4-5 inches of snow. Then as the genius goes to move back into the appropriate lane at probably 55mph, the build up between lanes caused him to fishtail and he slide off the road . I didn’t stop.

Wouldn’t “ avoiding a near miss” mean successfully hitting something?

The worst slow drivers are the ones that pick the left lane on account of it being the one with the least snow in it, yet they don’t actually use that traction to go any faster than the other lanes.

At least they had a somewhat decent following distance set (unless the wide angle lens is messing with perception here) . The lane to their immediate right looked conspicuously emptier though...

I believe that is called driving without due care and attention .. Traffic stopped ahead and white car panic stopped and swerved into Ferd.

Dashcam said 42 at the time of the swerve...I would agree!

How much you wanna bet that Ram guy didn’t have insurance? He just kept truckin!

WTF you didn’ t stop?
you gutta at least slowdown enough so he can see you laughin at him but you shoulda stopped to ask him how it feels to be such a dumb fucking douche.

‘tis but a scratch!

On an open road with good tires, 42 would be fine, but it looked like the traffic in front was moving significantly slower, which is where the problem comes in.

Get a dash cam seriously. They’re cheap insurance.

Oh of course! If the road is open and empty I’ll sometimes even hit the speed limit in the snow . But yeah, looked like they were going approaching much slower moving traffic without much of an out should something go wrong.

Mine are when they then drive 2feet over blocking 2 lanes.

And the cops do 30 over. Serious ly, those chargers get a workout if your beat is 696.

on the other hand, the worst (in my experience) is the stretch of I-94 between the 12 Mile exit and the 15 Mile/Harper exits. I live right by there and I don’t know how many times I’ve seen a collision which sent at least one car skittering down onto the golf course.

Auburn Rd used to be one of the most potholed roads in Michigan, if not the world, and the sight of cars in parking lots and gas stations with blown tires as well as those wheel covers piling up by street signs will attest to that. I myself damaged two rims in my first few summers of college while traveling to my internship every day.

Miller Rd. in Dearborn is a shit pile, and has been for years. And I’ve hit some doozys in Hamtramck.

Looks like 696, I was driving on that Saturday. Luckily I didn’t see anything like that around me.
